Last week the whole school enjoyed a trip to Pizza Express in Monmouth. The trip linked with the design and technology topic of ‘cooking and nutrition, developing a recipe’.
The children enjoyed creating a pizza for their lunch and in the process learned about food products, nutrition, food safety and food hygiene. They learned the 5 ingredients that are used to produce pizza dough and the importance of kneading, stretching and proving.
We returned to school to sit and enjoy our pizza lunch together.
