Class 2 – From Working With The Mars Rover To Practising Moving Targets…

Class 2 January 2026 Tales of Henry VIII

Class 2 have been thoroughly enjoying their history topic on the Tudors, especially the dramatic tales of Henry VIII and his many wives! The children have loved uncovering life at the Tudor court and exploring some of the larger-than-life characters from the period. Building on this excitement, they are now beginning to experiment with Shakespearean sonnets in their writing, playing with rhythm, rhyme and rich language inspired by the Bard himself.

In Science, the class have been exploring Earth and Space, learning about the planets, the vast distances between them, and our place in the solar system. This has linked brilliantly with Computing, where the children have been working with the Mars Rover, developing their problem-solving skills and learning how technology is used to explore space.

The children’s Moving Targets rehearsals are also going extremely well — their enthusiasm, teamwork and effort have been fantastic, and they truly are superstars!
