Design & Technology

Through Design and Technology, our children are encouraged to identify, examine and solve practical problems and to make existing situations better.  We work through the process of research, design, create and evaluate. Children are encouraged to be inventive, using a range of materials and tools, thus developing, modifying and evaluating their ideas through a series of projects. 

Designing skills are interwoven into our curriculum studies, which are progressive and developed throughout their time at school. Children are quickly introduced to food technology which again is developed throughout the key stages.

We strive to provide an exciting, interesting and cross curricular approach whereby DT links into topics throughout each term.
