Class 1 have created some realistic cave art after learning about Maria de Sautuola, who explored caves with her father many years ago. Â The class have also considered where in the world people have chosen to explore and why. Â
As part of computing the children have looked at representing data in different ways and how branching databases can be used to sort minibeasts. Â
In maths, reception have been looking at the link between doubling and halving and year 2 how we can describe movement and turns. Â
In English, year 2 have been reading a text called, ‘Stormy Rescue’ and reception have written about the text ‘Little Brown Mouse.’ Â
As part of our science topic on plants we have visited ‘Grow Local’ and seen for ourselves how soil and conditions have an impact on plant growth. Â The class have also created compost and considered what can be composted but what should not be composted. Â
In design the children are looking at how to make pictures or games with sliders. Â Year 2 have been tasked with creating a learning game for reception.
