On Friday 10th June the PTFA organised and held a Jubilee Tea in the playground after school. In the week leading up to the event the children produced canvases on which they had painted themselves as either a King or Queen and these were on display for parents to purchase should they wish. Their artwork was fantastic with some being so realistic that they were instantly recognisable. We all enjoyed strawberries and cream in the playground after a very rousing rendition of ‘Sweet Caroline’ performed by the whole school and the PTFA raised over £100. Each child was also presented with a lovely hardback book ‘Queen Elizabeth – A Platinum Jubilee Celebration’ and a bookmark. The book is a commemorative celebration of the Platinum Jubilee and is a souvenir to treasure forever. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to organise the event.
