On Thursday 9th June the whole school walked through the village to Pennoxstone Court to learn about the growing, harvesting and packaging of strawberries. Each child was able to visit the growing fields and select a punnet of berries which they then took to the packaging house to weight and label, being lucky enough to then take them home to enjoy with their family. We would like to say a very big thank you to Pennoxstone Court for allowing us to enjoy such an interesting and educational experience and for also allowing us to bring back lots of additional strawberries for our Jubilee Tea!
