Class 1 have now completed their plan for a superhero story and are using adverbs to make the sentences more interesting for the reader.
In mathematics reception are busy talking about maths stories to help with addition and subtraction within 20. In year 2 the children have finished doing lots of work on fractions, finding 1/2, 1/4 and 3/4 of shapes and amounts. They have also solved problems involving fractions. We are now moving onto working on telling the time and looking at time problems.
In geography the class are considering the human and physical features of Italy and exploring the different locations of Rome and Venice. In year 2 they are using digital images to create a book about Italy. In RE the class are considering the creation story and have written thank you poems to say thank you for the wonderful things in the world.
