On Tuesday afternoon the whole school visited a local farm to pick strawberries. The children got to see first hand how strawberries grow and then understand how they travel through the supply chain to reach supermarkets around the UK. Each child picked a punnet of strawberries and then watched whilst each punnet travelled through the on site packaging process before being stored in a cold room.
