Class 2 have had a wonderful few weeks since our last newsletter!
To complement our History topic, we visited the Egypt Centre in Swansea and had the most fun – dressing up in ancient Egyptian clothing, carrying out a mummification and playing Senet.
We were inspired by our trip and have been busy creating our own Egyptian artefacts to showcase our learning in our very own ancient Egyptian museum later this week. We hope to see you there!
Our focus in maths is measure. Year 3 and 4 have begun looking at area, length and perimeter. Year 5 & 6 are beginning to explore area, perimeter and volume.
In English we are finding out about the writing structure and features of newspapers in preparation for writing our own newspaper reports about the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb next week. In P.E. we have been practicing our performance for moving targets which is coming together nicely.Â
