This year Mental Health Awareness Week is being held between 15th and 21st May and the theme is anxiety. As the Mental health Foundation explain on their website, anxiety is a natural response to uncertainty and at the moment we all live in a very uncertain world. Anxiety can sometimes be overwhelming and its important to recognise and respond to our feelings before they become too intense.
The Mental Health Foundation website (www.mentalhealth.org.uk) explains anxiety, what it is and how you can cope and preferably limit the causes. The website has a wealth of resources and ways to get involved.
We will be exploring mental health and wellbeing with the children throughout the week.
