In April next year, Mr James, a teacher from Lord Scudamore, will be running the London Marathon. This is to raise money for Macmillan in memory of Mrs Williams who was a valued teacher on the staff at Lord Scudamore and across the wider Federation for 25 years. Mrs Williams sadly lost her battle with cancer last month.

In order to support Mr James with his fundraising Kings Caple Primary Academy held a dress down day on Friday 11th December. The theme was Christmas jumpers which children wore to school for a donation of £1.00.

As an incentive for any donations, Mr James offered his hair up! If Lord Scudamore raised £600 as a school, Mr James and Mr Gittins would shave their heads. If they raised £750 Mr Box and Mr Whitcombe offered to join in! Kings Caple admirably contributed to these targets by raising a total of £45.50 which was duely forwarded to Lord Scudamore! Although a final total has yet to be published, the £750 threshold was exceeded and the Heads have had their heads shaved! We hope to receive photographic evidence which we will be able to publish in a later news item!

As always we very much thank you for this support.
