Kings Caple have now received a defibrillator as part of the government’s plans to make sure that there is a device in every school, boosting their numbers in communities across the country.
Defibrillators have the potential to save the lives of pupils, staff and visitors in schools with research showing that accessing these devices within 3-5 minutes of a cardiac arrest increases the chance of survival by over 40%.
The defibrillator is held in the school office and is available whenever the school is open. Details of the defibrillator have been shared publicly. An externally located defibrillator is still located outside Kings Caple village hall.
