Class 3 attended the HMFA Rounders Tournament on 4th June and despite the weather forecast the rain hold off for most of the event which was held at Sutton Academy. Our children represented the school excellently demonstrating a sporting approach, encouragement for not only their team but others and resilience against exceptional rounders teams from other HMFA schools. We may be a small school and we may not have won, but we enjoyed having the opportunity to take part, learning more about the game of rounders and the key skills for success and we have pupils whom we are so very proud of.
The playoffs culminated with Sutton Academy (last year’s champions) and Llangrove (assisted by two children from Kings Caple who made up Llangrove’s team numbers) playing for 1st and 2nd place. Llangrove scored an impressive 7 and a half rounders and Sutton scored 2 meaning that Llangrove Academy were the tournament champions.
