Each year in England, school children in Reception and Year 6 have their height and weight checked as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). This year these checks will take place on Tuesday 4th December. A letter will be forwarded to all parents concerned explaining the programme in more detail. If you are happy for your child’s height and weight measurements to be undertaken you need not do anything. If you would prefer for your child not to participate in the scheme please let the school nursing service know by contacting them on the number provided in their letter by 23 November.
