Class 1 have really enjoyed looking at habitats and have gone on a super trip to Beechenhurst, where they explored the plants and animals that live in a woodland setting.  The children have looked at how animals depend on plants in science.

In history the class took part in a Victorian style lesson and the teaching staff were dressed in period costumes.  The children did handwriting, geography, times tables and learnt some interesting facts about queen Victoria.  In English the class have moved onto looking at diary writing and created a diary entry for Paddington Bear and will be writing a diary entry for their experience of the Victorian lesson.

In mathematics the children have been learning number bonds and ways to write the number facts from known bonds.  In art the children have used their pencil skills to add texture to their drawings and created characters and added features/expressions.
