Children in Year 5 at Kings Caple took part in a two day residential this week.  The children joined with year 5 pupils from St Weonard’s school, travelling to a series of venues in and around Birmingham.  On day one the children visited the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery before eating lunch by the canal and moving on to visit the Sealife Centre in the afternoon.  After a quick visit to their overnight accommodation, the children then travelled to the Hippodrome to eat dinner and enjoy the show ‘Matilda’.

Mrs Watkins reported that all the children were asleep less than half an hour after they reached their accommodation, the day had been so packed full with things to see, do and learn about.

On day two the group visited Cadbury World which involved ‘all things chocolate’ before driving back to school.

One of our pupil’s summed up the trip as “really fun, really good and a great opportunity”.

We would like to pass on our thanks to Mrs Watkins and Mrs Clarke for accompanying the children on the residential.
