This year for Comic Relief the children came to school wearing all things red.  We saw red tops, trousers, coats and even red hair. Thank you to all the children and their parents for taking part in the event and contributing to our collection for the charity.  The children also submitted their favourite jokes for a donation of 50p and we held a competition to find the best one.  All the staff chose their favourite three jokes from the selection with the first scoring 5 points, the second 3 points and the third 1 point.  There were some fantastic entries and we have chosen a few randomly here to share with you…

‘What do you get if you pour hot water down a rabbit hole?…Hot cross bunnies!’

‘Which side of a turkey has the most feathers?….The outside!’

‘Why are fish the most educated animals?…Because they spend their lives in schools!’

‘Why did the banana go to the doctor?…Because he wasn’t peeling very well!’

It was so difficult to choose but in the end we had a clear winner from a Class 1 entry… ‘Where do you find a dog with no legs?…Where you left him!’.

We are still awaiting a few donations but at the moment we have raised a total of just under £75.00. Wee done everyone!
