Class 3 are continuing their Victorian topics and will travel to Ironbridge on Thursday 11th October to visit the Victorian themed town of Blists Hill. Our Victorian themed novel is Cogheart and we have been writing adventure stories loosely based on the story.
In science, we planned and carried out an experiment based on The Great Stink which took place in Victorian times. The pupils showed great ingenuity in their approach to filtering dirty water and they worked very well in teams.
In RE we continue to study Christianity and we have found out about Jesus as a healer and a servant. In French, we are continuing to count in French and we are now good at counting in tens! In maths, we are now looking at fractions: understanding that a fraction is a division sum; adding and subtracting fractions and multiplying fractions. The pupils have a made excellent progress in this topic in just a few days!
