Class 1 did a fantastic job opening up their museum of flight and gave lots of information to parents visiting from both classes.   We have now visited RAF Cosford and the class were able to amaze the guides at the museum with their understanding of the history of flight.  The children listened to stories from the museum staff and found the vast size of the modern planes incredible!

In mathematics they have been investigating measures and doing a variety of practical and real-life problem solving to help them understand how to measure length, weigh and compare the capacity of different containers.  In geography we have explored more of the natural and human features of the world and mapped where they are.  The class were amazed to look at images of the ancient wonders of the world and commented on the size of some of the things people have built in the past.  In computing the class have become more confident in using programming techniques.  In music the children are looking forward to composing some music based on the theme of space after listening to Holst’s Planets.
