Class 2 you are fantastic! You have all worked incredibly hard during Moving Targets and topped it off last night with two brilliant performances. You are a credit to Kings Caple Academy and your families; your politeness and positive attitude only highlights how wonderful you all are.

A huge thank you must go out to the wonderful Mrs Haines; all of us appreciate your hard work and commitment at Kings Caple!

We have settled in well after half term working hard in Maths looking at decimals, percentages and fractions. The children have all shown great determination and resilience across all elements, which is very pleasing.

In English we are looking at newspapers, the children have looked at the individual features of newspaper articles. Next, we are diving into headlines whereby the children will explore alliteration and puns. They will then write their very own headline for their own article.

We are now looking at light and shadows during science and began by identifying light sources. The children discussed man–made and natural sources and brought up many interesting points–well done.

Having finished history for the spring term, we are now turning our attention to geography and looking into settlements. The children have been identifying the differences between linear, nucleated and dispersed settlements and comparing the contrasts between urban and rural areas.
