In class 1 we are looking at how to write a setting for a suspense story and considering how to use feelings to set a scene.
In geography we are beginning to learn about our local area and focusing on Hereford over the next few weeks. Â We visited the Mayors Parlour this week and the children have talked about features of both Kings Caple and Hereford city centre. Â
As part of our work in science we are now looking at materials and sorting them into what they are made of. Â The children are working on addition and subtraction and in reception they are sorting and using circles and triangles to create pictures and repeated patterns.
Reception are working hard to learn their new sounds and some high frequency words used in stories. Â They have shared stories in guided reading activities. Â
Year 2 have continued to learn chords and talk about musical terms in their ukulele lessons and reception have experimented with long and short sounds.
