Class 2 have had a wonderful first week back after half term – well done to all! Year 3 & 4 have been working really hard on their times tables whilst Year 5 & 6 Â have been exploring the use of factors, prime, square and cubed numbers.Â
Our instruction writing in English is starting to take shape with the children looking at all the key features they need to include when they begin to write their own. Our model text has brought the children’s drama skills into play, we have seen some wonderful actions being created to help retell the text in a creative way.
During our comprehension lessons the children have continued to be reading detectives and explored how to correctly summarise a text or a small series of paragraphs by pulling out the important or key parts of information.
We have begun new topics in Geography and Science where we are now looking at forces and volcanoes. We are all very excited to find out more over the course of this half term
