Class 1 have made a super start to the new academic year and have all settled into the routines. Â We have started the text of the ‘Snow Queen’ and the children have created some snowflakes and icicles for our display. Â The children have considered adjectives and how these can create improved descriptions of a setting. Â
In mathematics the class are working on understanding place value and how to partition numbers into tens and ones. Â
In history the children have looked at the school’s history and used archive pictures to create their own timeline of school photographs. Â To make their decisions they looked at clothing and equipment. Â
In computing the class are investigating what are the features of a computer and have looked at how technology is all around them in school and home. Â
In science we have looked at habitats, what animals and plants are found in different habitats and considered the question is something living, used to be living or was never alive.
