Class 1 have had a really exciting few weeks working on their fabulous stories about Zog. Â They have invented a new adventure for the dragon and his friends and written the whole story carefully writing each stage of the plot. Â The children enjoyed working on plots for stories this week also, getting ready to write a whole school story later in the year. Â The school had fun talking about the events of the school day when everything seemed to go wrong! Â They were even more surprised when they realised it was all planned!
In maths Year 2 have been doing lots of multiplication and division and Year 1 have moved on from addition and subtraction to explore numbers up to 50. Â
In history we have now nearly completed our topic on nursing and the changes made by some significant nurses from the past. The children this week have studied Edith Cavell and learnt how she cared for everyone. In science the class are pleased that their hyacinth bulb in class is beginning to grow and have looked at the impact of light changes in the winter compared to other seasons.
As part of our work on Vivaldi’s four seasons the children have now used instruments and their voices to accompany both Winter and Spring.
