We have been busy in class 1 investigating lots of artefacts from the past to see how equipment in the home has changed over time. Â
In English, Â we have considered how to write an explanation of the changes for a specific item of household equipment, using headings and sub-headings. Â The class have also listened and written winter poetry as well as considered how to follow instructions. Â In computing this has concept been extended, Â to think about how commands can be written to create clear, accurate instructions for a given task. Â
In art we are continuing to investigate colour mixing to create a picture using printing. Â In mathematics reception children are considering how different numbers up to 10 are composed and year 2 have moved onto multiplication and division – looking at equal groups, repeated addition, and the meaning of the multiplication symbol. Â We are still learning about how the Jewish faith live and their beliefs in our topic on religious beliefs. Â Â
