Class 1 Go Exploring!

Class 1 have continued to look at different explorers and the ways exploration has changed over time.   In English they have written a biography of Jessica Watson the young explorer from Australia.  

In Maths the children have been learning about positional language and how you can describe movement using terms such as forwards, backwards, left, right, clockwise, and anti-clockwise.  

The class have nearly finished their art project on woven creations and have put together all the techniques they have learnt on looms to create a beautiful woven creation.  

In science the children have enjoyed matching seeds to the plants or trees that produced them and were surprised when they looked at the shape of some seeds.

 In our topic on explorers the class have considered how exploration has changed over time and how we can remember what significant individuals have achieved.  The children have really enjoyed computing and using digital images to create a book.
