New Date for Kings Caple Open Evening
Following the postponement of Kings Caple’s open evening earlier this term, we will now be welcoming prospective parents into school from 6pm on Tuesday 8th November. We would be pleased to arrange a personal school visit for those who are unable to make this date – please contact the school office.
Healthy Start Scheme – Free Food & Milk For Young Children
Expectant mums who are 10 weeks pregnant, or families with a child under 4, may be eligible for free healthy foods through the NHS Healthy Start scheme if they are claiming certain benefits. Pyjama Appeal
Kings Caple continues to support the Pyjama Appeal (charity number 1185739). Children’s Hospital Pyjama’s are a UK based charity that collects donations of brand new pyjamas for children aged from newborn to eighteen. Year 1 Hearing Tests
A reminder to our Year 1 parents that hearing tests will be taking place in school on Monday 17th October. Only those children whose parents have returned a consent form will have their hearing assessed.
Didn’t We Swim Well!
Year 1 to 6 have returned to school swimming this term. All the children have been assessed and placed in appropriate swim groups where they are now working towards individual targets. Close of Registers in the Morning
We have reviewed our procedures for closing registers in the morning. The gates to the playground will be open from 8.40am to 8.50am with registers being taken in the classroom at 9am prompt. The children have been busy preparing for our Harvest celebrations tomorrow (Wednesday 12th October).
