On Monday 2nd December members of the school community gathered at the end of school to say a very fond farewell and an enormous thank-you to one of it’s Governors, Mrs Hook, on the occasion of her retirement.
Mrs Hook has been associated with the school for over 50 years, with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all attending Kings Caple Primary. She has supported the school as a Governor through difficult times and has celebrated with us at times of ultimate success and she will be very much missed by children, parents and the staff at the school.
The school presented Mrs Hook with a framed ‘fingerprint’ tree made by the pupils and staff to mark her retirement, together with numerous other gifts. The PTFA presented a beautiful flower arrangement also.
Mrs Hook was then asked to switch on the school’s Christmas tree lights. The tree was kindly provided and decorated by the PTFA with the children making hand made personalised decorations also.
Although now officially retired as a Governor we very much hope that Mrs Hook will continue to visit the school and join us for key events and gatherings.
