In maths, children have been busy calculating 10 more, 10 less, 100 more and 100 less than given numbers. Â They have also counted in steps of 2, 5, 10 and 100. Â Pupils will move on to graphs and statistics next.
In English, pupils have written an observational piece of writing using expanded noun phrases for description and interesting word choices.  They have written a character profile and made their own changes to the model text ‘Nail Soup’.  Children will soon write their new, innovated stories with time connectives and conjunctions.
In topic, children have sorted pictures of past and present London. Â They have looked at what it would of been like to live in the capital in 1666.
In science, pupils have identified materials which are either transparent, translucent or opaque. Â They have explored what other items could be added to each list. Â Children will move on to shadows next.
In RE, children have looked at the Harvest festival and why it is an important celebration in the Christian calendar. Â Pupils reflected on what they are most thankful for and why. Â Pupils move on to exploring the Creation story next.
In PSHE, pupils have continued to use Jigsaw, which explores values, mindfulness and the world that we live in.
In computing, children have designed a poster outlining the importance of E-Safety and how we can keep ourselves safe online.
