Since the return to school after half term we have continued to see fantastic attendance figures at Kings Caple. For the period from 2nd to the 11th November whole school attendance was 99.67%. Again we reiterate that there are times when children are unable to attend school due to general illness but in the midst of a pandemic this figure exceeds the national average. We continue to maintain a stringent programme of cleaning which includes the daily ‘fogging’ of all rooms. We continue to:
- maintain 2m social distancing wherever practicable and possible;
- staggered drop off and pick up together with the operation of a one-way system;
- the wearing of face masks by parents and staff at drop off and pick up; and
- strict hand washing and sanitising.
We limit visitors to those which are essential only and have implemented ‘COVID Visitor Guidelines’ for visitors who do enter the school. These are published on our website and visitors are provided with a copy prior to their visit which they are requested to acknowledge and abide by.
We would like to say thank you to parents for their continued efforts to maintain social distancing and the wearing of face masks in support of maintaining a COVID free environment.
