Class 1 have been doing lots of activities associated with reading the story ‘The Bog Baby’.  They have created clay models, life cycles and even baked at Bog Baby cake! As part of our work we have written instructions on how to look after a Bog Baby and the recipe for how to make Bog Baby cake.
In maths the class have been looking at place value and have now moved onto looking at fractions of amounts and shapes. Â They now understand that to create a fraction of an amount or shape it should be equally shared.
As part of our RE studies the class have recently interviewed our local Reverend and created some very interesting questions to find out about what jobs they do and aspects of a vicar’s life.
In science and topic the class have considered animals found in and around water, how canals are constructed and windmills make use of water. Â We have further looked at how artists portray water and the children have created their own impressions of water in art.
