In class 1 we have started our new topic water and the children have been reading and listening to the story of Mr Gumpy’s Outing.  The children have discussed what they already know about water and have begun to ask questions about what they would like to learn about water, rivers and the water cycle.  We went on a village walk to consider where we have water in and around Kings Caple and the children have also read about rivers in the UK.
Reception children have even made a model of how a river flows from high areas such as mountains down to the sea.
In maths the class have been using their skills to complete addition and subtraction maths activities using Tara maths. Â They are recalling numbers facts and using these to complete different challenges.
In science the class have begun to explore what animals and plants live in and around water.
