In English, we have been busy writing our own wishing stories and the children have really enjoyed thinking of their own ideas for this. Â We have focussed on many key aspects in our work this half term to improve our writing; most notably noun phrases, time connectives, use of commas for adjectives and introducing speech marks.
In maths, pupils have been interpreting data from a range of graphs. Â We have presented information in tally and frequency charts, pictograms and bar charts.
In topic, children have thoroughly enjoyed our work on volcanoes and we have moved on to tsunamis most recently. Â Pupils can explain how a tsunami is created and the damage it causes. Children decided what would go in their emergency evacuation kit if they lived in a tsunami risk area.
In science, children have identified what all animals and humans need for survival and the importance of a balanced diet for human health.
In RE, pupils have looked at Shabbat and why it is important for Jewish followers.
In French, children have learnt new vocabulary for pets and played some games to help with their recall of this.
