Welcome to Kings Caple Primary Academy News Report for week ending 25th January 2018
Class 1 News
Class 1 had a special visitor this week: our local CSO’s popped in to introduce themselves to Mrs. Watkins and they spent some time with the Reception and Year 1 children. They promise they will be back soon to do some activities with all of the children. They complimented Mrs Talboys on the good behaviour of her class. The pupils in Class 1 are really enjoying their dinosaur topic and they have made dinosaur cakes. They have written letters to an expert to find out more about the strange egg that was found in the classroom! Class 1 are fascinated by their new triops in class.
Class 2 News
Class 2 are going on a trip to Noah’s Ark as part of their topic – Sensational Safari. Their new model text is ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ and the children have already produced excellent work.
Class 3 News
As part of their studies of ‘The Highwayman,’ Class 3 had a visit from a horse. We watched it cantering and found out about its diet and habits. Roaming Reptiles also came into school as part of Class 3’s Rainforest topic. The children loved meeting snakes and creepy crawlies! In Science, the children have been looking at the eye and will be making their own clay reptiles with special glass eyes. We have also been looking at inherited characteristics through Mr. men! Class 3 have produced some beautiful artwork based on ‘The Highwayman.’ In PE, the children have been planning their Moving Targets dance which will be performed in March at The Courtyard. It is first come, first served for the tickets. Many pupils in Class 3 took part in the indoor athletics this week at Hereford Academy, competing against other schools. Next week, Class 3 will travel to Whitecross School to compete in a county wide debating competition. Good luck!
