On Friday 17th March, Class 2 visited the Egypt Centre, Swansea. Â Children had a wonderful time, mainly due to the fantastic museum staff who were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Â They participated in workshops throughout the day which involved: Â Egyptian costume and music, handling artefacts, mummification, story telling and identifying animals of this period. Â Pupils had the opportunity to view some rare objects in the display cases which were part of the Egyptian collection at the university. Â Children enjoyed the practical activities and developed a greater understanding of what life was like during this time.
