Class 2 have been fully immersed in the magical world of The Impossibly Possible Bookshop, continuing the story with great enthusiasm. To bring their storytelling to life, the children have created imaginative shoebox story settings to accompany their handmade clay goblins. These miniature worlds have helped inspire rich descriptive writing and transported us all into the heart of their goblin adventures!
In science, we’ve been exploring mixtures and solutions by making our very own lava lamps—an exciting and colourful way to develop critical thinking and investigative skills.
We’ve also wrapped up our topic on the Alps, and the class are now eagerly looking forward to their upcoming visit to the SnowDome, where they’ll get a taste of Alpine life right here in the UK!
To celebrate Diwali, the festival of light, we explored traditional Rangoli patterns and used shadow puppets to retell the story of Rama and Sita to Class 1. It was a creative and thoughtful way to share the meaning behind this special celebration.
It’s been a packed and inspiring few weeks—well done, Class 2!
