This year Children’s Mental Health Week is being celebrated across the UK between 5th and 11th February. The week was launched in 2015 and each year, hundreds of schools, children, parents and carers take part. Now in its 10th year, the theme this year is ‘My Voice Matters’.
Kings Caple will be holding a ‘Wellness Week’ to coincide with this year’s celebrations. Throughout the week the children will explore ways to support their mental health and wellbeing. Activities will include art, exercise, learning new skills, making connection with others, ‘giving’ something to the community and taking notice of other cultures. To round the week off, on Friday 9th February children can bring in:
- a flag;
- some traditional food (snacks)
- items to share such as photo’s or books (please no toys).
