This years Children In Need was held on Friday 18th November and as in previous years Kings Caple Primary held several fundraising events. For a small donation of £1.00 children could wear something ‘spotty’ or ‘dotty’ to follow this year’s theme. The children soon got to work adorning Mr Gittins’ plain white ‘T’ shirt with suitable spots and dots!
We held a family assembly in the morning followed by a family/friend art session where we again produced work on a dotty and spotty theme. After school the children had a bake sale where for a donation, parents and friends could purchase dotty and spotty cakes and biscuits that children had enjoyed making in school the previous day.
For such as small school we managed to raise a grand total of £102.00 which has already been sent off to further the cause. Thank you to all those who were able to support the day’s events and to those who had other commitments but who contributed nevertheless.
