Class 1 have been busy investigating how to describe position and changes in direction.  They have completed practical activities to build models following only verbal instructions from their partner.  In our writing we have considered the story, ‘The Storm Whale’ and have described a storm at sea and considered what the boy in the story would need to care for a whale.  In science the class have looked at the different living things that might be in the sea compared to a woodland.  For our art recently the children have used ‘Tate Paint’ to create a storm at sea and experimented with the different aspects of the package to create their own pictures.  We are also looking at where water comes from, how it is used, can be conserved and will investigate how rivers in the rainforest, such as the Amazon compare to our own River Wye.
