In English, children have been studying the works of Roald Dahl and have invented some new chocolate bars, explaining their unique flavours and what they taste like. Pupils have listened to a reading of ‘The Enormous Crocodile’ and have created their own crocodile traps!

In maths, children have investigated the properties of 3D shapes and sorted them according to specific criteria. They have looked for examples of solid shapes around the home and have made some using their nets.  Pupils will be moving on to solving addition and subtraction word problems next.
In science, pupils have been exploring life cycles of animals and humans.  They have identified and described what all animals and humans need in order to survive and will move on to looking at healthy eating later on in the term.
In topic, children have been creating information texts on one of Africa’s ‘Big Five’ animals and the work produced was incredible!  Pupils will be making tourist guides to Kenya next.
These are some art pictures of “African Landcapes” that class 2 have completed today in their art on our topic ‘Sensational Safari’.
They are fantastic – it was hard to choose!
