Well Class 1 you have been incredible over the past few weeks working really hard at home on Seesaw doing lots of great phonics work. In maths you have explored and compared numbers up to 50 and considered how we can compare different measures. For our topic work, we have looked at transport and how it has changed and made the world more connected. We have reviewed changes in technology and how different people such as Brunel invented ways to enable transport to move across a country more effectively.
In science, the children have investigated the animal kingdom and considered the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates. They used natural materials to create different insects and have labelled the body parts of different animals.
In literacy the class have written their own versions of stories such as The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We are currently reading and looking at Fair trade and the book Handa’s surprise to develop an understanding of where our food comes from. The children are describing fruit and looking at incre
