Christmas week activities
Due to the situation we are in, it is very difficult to do the normal things we do at Christmas such as the Fayre and production. However, we are hoping to make it as fun and normal as we possibly can for the children with the bits we have planned. Here is a breakdown, so that you can all plan accordingly!!
Monday 14th December
A Teams Nativity and carols! Class 1 will perform a nativity from their classroom and Class 2 and 3 will sing carols to get us into the Christmas spirit. You will not need to provide anything for this as we have costumes in school. We will send out a link closer to the time for you to log in and be part of it.
Tuesday 15th December
Virtual Panto! We have arranged to watch a live broadcast of Peter Pan by The Barn Theatre in Cirencester. School will cover the cost of this and the children will watch in their classes. Please can you give permission, via email, for your child/children to watch this. If we do not have permission, they will not be able to watch.
Christmas jumper day! In order to help the PTFA who have not been able to do any fundraising at all, we will hold a Christmas jumper day. Please send your child in in a Christmas jumper/top, as well as their own clothes, along with a donation of £1 minimum. This money will go directly to the PTFA.
Wednesday 16th December
We are hoping for a very special visitor to do a ‘drive-by’ in his sleigh!! We would like this to be a surprise for all of the children, so please do not tell them!!
Thursday 17th December
Mrs Harding has very kindly offered to do a Christmas themed virtual storytelling and writing session with all of the children. As part of this, we will be holding a Christmas fancy dress competition! Should your child want to take part, they can either wear the costume to school or bring it in to change into. The costume must be Christmas themed and there will be prizes!! If your child does not want to take part, they just wear uniform as usual.
Friday 18th December
Movie and treat day! In classes, we will watch Christmas movies and have treats. Please send in treats for your child should you wish to (not too much and only for your child. As children will not be able to share treats with their friends).
Don’t forget that we finish at 2pm as it is the end or term!
