Staff and children had a wonderful time on Thursday 2nd March when we celebrated ‘World Book Day’. The children came to school as their favourite characters from books and all looked absolutely fantastic.  We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents and carers who helped dress the children in their outfits. Special mention should go to ‘Tweedle Dum’ and ‘Tweedle Dee’ in Class 1!

We collected a total of £12.45 as part of our World Book day dress-up efforts for which we would like to say ‘thank you’.  We will donate this total to ‘Book Trust’. Book Trust transform lives by getting children and families reading and it is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity. Each year Book Trust reach 2.5m children across the UK with books, resources and support to help develop a love of reading because reading can transform lives – you may be aware of their flagship programme ‘Bookstart’.
