Marking World Book Day

Marking World Book Day

In recognition of World Book Day the children in the school have all dressed up as their favourite book characters.  We have lots of Harry Potter’s; Gangsta Grannies; Grampa from Grandpa’s Great Escape; Otteline; Jessie from Toy Story; PT Barnum to name but a few.

Mrs Harding is delivering a creative writing workshop in each class. Class 1 enjoyed listening and acting out ‘The Forgetful Postie’. Class 2 are taking part in some ‘weird writing’ and will then write their own stories based on their weird writing and Class 3 are developing characters and writing about them.

The children have also enjoyed meeting ‘Thunder’, aka ‘Peter Rabbit’, Mrs Fry’s rabbit who accompanied her as she dressed up as Beatrix Potter.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Harding who dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and gave freely of her time today.

We would also like to thank all our children and parents for supplying some wonderful costumes, and to the staff for also dressing up.
