The last term has flown by and it has caused me to reflect on how lucky I am to have such fantastic hard-working staff and such supportive parents (as well as such engaged children!) KS1 and 2 SATs are now completed and the children have worked very hard. KS2 children behaved impeccably at Hay Festival and enjoyed a wonderful literary experience. All classes have now enjoyed a school trip – a huge thank you for the PTFA for supporting these excellent opportunities. There are lots more exciting events coming up before the end of term. Please do check the website for important dates.
Information from our school council:
Welcome to Kings Caple News Report! We picked the best bits of these two weeks – the last week of last half term and the first week of this half term!
The children designed their own arrows and shields and learnt about life as a knight!
Year 2 did INCREDIBLY well on their SATs whilst Year 3 (along with Class 3, see below) went to Hay Festival on Thursday!
Year 3, 4 and 5 went to Hay Festival! All of Class 3 also went to the Weston-Super-Mare beach on Tuesday! They really enjoyed it and they were all safe! The PTFA pay for so many trips and visits for this school so a very big thank you to them!
From the 18th – 25th May 2018, Year 6 went to Oaker Wood! On the day we arrived, we did Crate Stacking, Gladiator Challenge and Monkey Climbing. The next day, we did Capture the Flag, Team Building and Leap of Faith/Zip Wire. On Wednesday, we did Rafting, Pizza Making/Den Making and Tree Trekking!
