In English, children have been busy identifying the features of instruction texts and creating their own text map of an example.  We will look at ordering instructions, verbs, adverbs, editing instructions and diagrams in this unit of work.  We will look at how these texts are organised and for what purpose.

In maths, children have looked at symmetry and whether shapes have any lines of symmetry.  Pupils have created their own symmetrical pictures and completed reflective patterns.  We have moved on to addition and explored how number bonds can help with quick recall.

In science, children have looked at the importance of healthy eating and how a balanced diet can contribute to good well – being.  Pupils have also looked at the importance of exercising regularly and maintaining good, personal hygiene.

In topic, children have written a newspaper report on tsunamis and will look at tornadoes for the remainder of the term.

In French, pupils will be recapping their numbers to 20.
