In English, children have been busy identifying the features of instruction texts and creating their own text map of an example. Â We will look at ordering instructions, verbs, adverbs, editing instructions and diagrams in this unit of work. Â We will look at how these texts are organised and for what purpose.
In maths, children have looked at symmetry and whether shapes have any lines of symmetry. Â Pupils have created their own symmetrical pictures and completed reflective patterns. Â We have moved on to addition and explored how number bonds can help with quick recall.
In science, children have looked at the importance of healthy eating and how a balanced diet can contribute to good well – being. Â Pupils have also looked at the importance of exercising regularly and maintaining good, personal hygiene.
In topic, children have written a newspaper report on tsunamis and will look at tornadoes for the remainder of the term.
In French, pupils will be recapping their numbers to 20.
