Class 1 have been busy investigating the sky and space. Â They have learnt the order of the planets and looked at creating models of the different planet surfaces. Â For our text in English the children have read the story of Little Moon and The Way Back Home. As part of learning the story they have created a map and made models which they are going to use to create a short animated film in ICT.
In maths the class have been measuring time and learning the months, days of the week and looking at different values of coins. Â Reception are working really hard at blending their sounds to read and talking throughout texts with words that they can decode.
As part of science the children have looked at the seasonal changes in night and day and asked themselves why they see the sun and moon at different times.
