P.E. and Sport

PE at Kings Caple develops the children’s knowledge, skills and understanding, so that they can perform with increasing competence and confidence in a range of physical activities. These include dance, games, gymnastics, swimming, athletics and outdoor adventure activities through residential trips to Oakerwood and Condover Hall. We also aim to broaden the children’s opportunities in different activities ranging from fishing to trips to Premier League football grounds for coaching and to watch the matches.

PE promotes an understanding in children of their bodies in action. It involves thinking, selecting and applying skills, and it promotes positive attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle. Thus, we enable the children to make informed choices about physical activity throughout their lives.

Swimming

The whole school (with the exception of Reception) participates in swimming every Thursday in the Autumn and Spring term. They have the opportunity to earn badges and become more confident in the water.
