Enrichment Activities

Activities beyond the classroom enhancing the opportunity for all children to flourish

From the time children come to Kings Caple they have opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.  It might simply involve investigating the local area or exploring further afield in trips linked to aspects of both learning and the interests of the children.  The aim is to develop their cultural, physical and social well being.  As well as providing hands on learning experiences  it creates opportunity for them to challenge themselves.

Our Year 6 children are offered the opportunity to take part in a week long residential trip with other Year 6 children throughout HMFA. This is usually a trip to an outward – bound centre where the children get to experience a variety of events which can include paintballing, high and low ropes, den-building, rafting and quad biking not to mention sharing stories around a campfire whilst toasting marshmallows! This is a fantastic opportunity to take a further step towards a more independent life at secondary school.
